My first web redesign and development project at Glantz for local non-profit The Ark Chicago, where my role centered around collecting actionable meeting notes to inform and align our internal team on next steps throughout the project. The Ark is where Jewish people facing life’s challenges access free, life-changing human services to strengthen their future. These services include financial assistance, social services, health and pharmacy services, employment services, an intensive day program, food pantry, spiritual enrichment, and interim housing. See how we positioned The Ark as the vibrant hub of human services for Chicagoland’s Jewish community below, and check out the website here.
Brand Situation
The current website did not reflect The ARK’s new branding or properly communicate the organization’s mission and services. The website did not function in a way that created engagement for both users and core audiences interested in finding information and taking action.
The Brief: Get / Who / To / By
GET: Prospective and current clients
WHO: Are adult Chicagoland Jews in need of financial, social, physical, and emotional support services, and include the full spectrum of Jews in Chicago (from Reform to Orthodox), regardless of the level of their needs (temporary, long-term, urgent, etc.)
TO: Fill out a confidential application including more information to better direct them to the right caseworker and eventually receive a ‘financial journey’ to ensure success and availability of resources they may not know The Ark offers
BY: Communicating that The Ark is a vibrant hub of vital human services serving Chicagoland's Jewish community
