From Spring 2018 to Fall 2019 I served as Theta Chapterโs Public Relations chairman. Through this position, I held the responsibility of portraying our chapter in a light that reflected our values and promoted the diversity of our members on all social platforms. Hereโs how I did it:
Instagram Curation
With our Instagram account, I wanted to create a space that expressed authenticity and presented our chapter in a light that reflected our values and diversity of involvement/achievements among members. Over the course of my term, I was able to increase Mizzou Kappaโs following by 600 users.
Photography
Throughout my term, I photographed and promoted service, academic, and social involvement achievements. Following these events, I often created Facebook posts in order for these images to not only reach our current active members, but alumnae as well.
Facebook Curation
Keeping up with the Kappas was oftentimes harder than it looked. Thatโs why I create something to make it a little easier! Kappa Kappa Gamma at Mizzouโs Facebook page had over 2,000 likes by the time my term ended, a large number being alumnae and parents of active members who were looking to be updated on big events.
